High Speed Steel (HSS) taps. This 3mm X .70 Metric tap is very difficult to find and we actually had these made for us because they are otherwise unavailable.
These are of High Speed Steel (HSS) not carbon steel. Brass and bronze eyelets need HSS for a good clean threading.
It is best to have one each of these metric sizes and one each of the English sizes in your tool chest.
