Lizard Skin Pattern Embossed on High Gloss Cattle Leather

This a popular product in Europe, especially among bow makers who sell their work internationally. This is an embossed small scale lizard skin pattern on an actual cattle leather hide material. We also have this same embossed lizard skin pattern on goatskin material.

Manufactured by Paulus in Germany where they purchase whole goat and domestic cattle hides. With specialized equipment they scythe the material and mill press to less than .6mm in thickness before embossing the the lizard pattern into the material itself.

This brilliant glossy cattle leather in black is in strips of about 14 cm (5.5") width. The strips are 17.8cm (7") in length.

This material has the beauty of lizard skin without the difficulty of application nor the problems of international transport. Domestic animal hides do not have customs/transport problems/barriers.

When exporting, this should be listed as: "Embossed cattle leather" with genus/specie "Bos taurus". This is domestic cow leather. In Europe it is common to call cattle by the term buffalo and so hence the buffalo name in the Paulus catalog. For clarity - this is domestic cow (cattle) leather.
