High Speed Steel (HSS) taps. This 3mm X .60 Metric tap is the size used by Sartory and other leading bow makers in his era. One of these should be in the tool chest of every artisan working on antique bows.
This is 3mm X .6 thread and is not commonly available. Not to be confused with the very common 3.5mm X .6.
These are of High Speed Steel (HSS) not carbon steel. Brass and bronze eyelets need HSS for a good clean threading.
