German Silver Wire. German Silver is sometimes called nickel silver.

Not all Nickel Silver will wind correctly on bow size wrap applications. The Nickel Silver alloy we carry is 65% copper, 17% Nickel and 18% zinc.

This alloy with its particular draw temper has proven ideal for the small size wrapping needed in violin bow making.

1 pound spool of .012" diameter which is .3 mm diameter. It is round wire. This 1 pound spool should wrap well over 60 violin, viola or cello bows.
